Defending Tema Community Basketball League Champions Nungua Coldstore will compete in the opening round of the second half of the 2019 season.

The second round commences later this weekend on Sunday, August 11 at Tema’s Community 4 Court with four scheduled fixtures.

In the third game on the schedule, Coldstore is due to take on fourth ranked Spintex Knights who are debuting in the league; Coldstore on the other hand is a member of the original seven teams that started the league in 2016.

Two time league winners Nungua occupy top spot in the league standings with 21 points from winning 10 of 11 games this season.

Knights have had a good start to life in the league with several veteran players on the roster including Shooting Guards Elvis Pobi-Siaw and Benjamin Omari making their experience count.

Last season’s beaten finalist Tema Heat plays Teshie Vikings in the opening game at 15:30 GMT before Akatsi Rifles take on Tema Community 2 and Sakumono Titans play Tema Wildcats.
