Tema Youth Basketball Club has lost for the second time in a row in the second round of the 2019 Accra basketball League (ABL) season.

Perennial league runner up Tema Youth was beaten 61-59 by Adabraka CYO in the Men’s Division I at the Prisons Court in Cantonments on Saturday, August 10.

The loss is Youth’s fourth in 10 games this season and the second in two games since the second round commenced a fortnight ago. Tema lost 41-58 to Ghana Fire Service on August 1; Tema ranks third in the league.

Defending Women’s Division Champions Ghana Police Service beat Ghana Fire Service 67-35 to keep up the pressure on league leaders Braves of Customs.

Braves Male side delivered a 65-38 win over Tudu Magic in the last Division I game of the round maintaining its unbeaten run in the process. Braves maintain its lead in the Division.

The trio of matchups was the last set in Week 17 of the current campaign that has University of Ghana (UG) leading the Men’s Division II.
