2018 Sprite Ball Most Valuable Player Girls Division Award winner Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah has won gold at the ongoing All Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco.

The young multi talented athlete placed first in the High Jump Women’s category at the multisport competition. Winning the gold medal is the first for Ghana at the ongoing competition.

Prior to Yeboah’s breakthrough achievement, Ghana had four bronze medals to its credit at the 12th edition of the African games. Ghana could bag more medals with the competition due to end on Sunday, August 31.

This is the latest success story of Yeboah who led Kumasi Girls Senior High School to its first ever Sprite Ball Championship title in Ghana’s capital, Accra last year.

Kumasi Girls beat Accra Wesley Girls High School 30-29 in the final game at the El Wak Stadium in overtime. Yeboah’s outstanding performances had her crowned the MVP of the tournament.

Yeboah’s High School Coach Joyce Boatey-Agyei congratulated Rose on her win when contacted by Basketballghana.com
