Defending Champions to make 2019 CAP7 debut tonight

Defending champions of the 2019 CAP7 Memorial Basketball Tournament, Adenta Leopards, will commence its run in this year’s edition later today.

The team takes on Icons Basketball Club at 18:00 GMT at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu in the first of two games in the Men’s Division.

CAP7 Tournament is in honour of former Accra Basketball League (ABL) Chairman Benjamin Baafi and the 2019 edition commenced on Wednesday, September 18.

Leopards beat Kawukudi Warriors 40-35 in last year’s final game to win the title with Shooting Guard Kwame Mawukor winning the MVP Award.

Adenta has been in fine form in the ABL Men’s Division I this year registering 10 wins in 14 games to rank second in the league standings.

Two winners on Day One in the Men’s Division clash immediately after Leopards game at 19:30 GMT; Tudu Galaxy play Adabraka CYO.

In the Women’s Division, Braves of Customs play Tudu Galaxy and Reformers of Prisons play Ghana Navy in the opening game at 16:00 GMT.
