Bentil warms up during stint with Bilbao

Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is in line to play for Panathinaikos in the Greek Giant’s matchup against Valencia in the EuroLeague Basketball Championship later tonight.

Panathinaikos has three wins in six games thus far in the continental competition including wins over Anadolou Efes and Khimki.

Bentil has had a slow start to life in the competition averaging 2.2 points, 1.8 rebounds in just 8:27 minutes in five games. The 24 year old moved to Panathinaikos from Peristeri GS prior to this season.

On the other hand, Valencia has just a win in six games in the EuroLeague and has lost to the likes of Barcelona and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Bentil has experience in the Spanish ACB League during his brief time with RetaBet Bilbao Basket in the 2017-2018 season. He has similar playing experience in France, China and the NBA Gatorade League.

The 6 foot 8 inch player is the first Ghana born player to be drafted into the NBA and play in the NBA after featuring for 2011 Champions Dallas Mavericks.
