Qualifiers to the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship are half way through with three of the six participating regions done with qualifiers games.

Ashanti, Volta and Central Regions are done with their qualifiers with Eastern, Western and Greater Accra Regions set to conclude before December 18.

Thus far, a host of notable names have qualified to the next edition of the national competition which takes place on January 3 and January 4, 2020 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

However, a few big names have suffered casualties during qualifiers; despite failing to make the Ashanti Regional finals, Kumasi Girls High School progressed to the national competition by virtue of its 2019 championship status.

In the Central Region, January 2016 Champions St. Augustine’s College failed to qualify for the second year in a row with Adisadel College and Mfantsipim School qualifying.

In the Girls Division, 2019 Silver Medalist Mfantsiman Girls High School lost out on the regional Girls Division title to Wesley Girls High School.

Regular Volta Region representative Mawuli Senior High School lost out on the sole ticket to Bueman Senior High School after losing 5-17 in the final.
