Basketballghana.com can confirm veteran Point Guard Jeffrey Djimate has been added to the Tema Team that will compete in the All Star Game against Accra in the Africa Basketball Festival.

The Festival takes place at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Ghana’s capital, Accra on December 24 with the event celebrating the most popular sport among Ghana’s youth-basketball-, music and food.

The Tema Community 2 Guard was shockingly left out of the list of players announced earlier this week but selectors have made a sharp turn to include him.

He has since replaced young and budding Guard Fred Asante in the Guard depth of the team for the anticipated game on Christmas Eve.

Djimate joins Tema Community 4 Guard Thomas Nii Moi Anum in the Tema backcourt with Kent Fosu and Emmanuel Wolff as Shooting Guards.

Tema Community 2 lies fifth in the standings with 13 wins in 21 games with a game left to play in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League Regular season.

Representatives from Tema will engage Accra in three point shooting contest, ladies free throw shooting contest and slam dunk contest.
