2019 Sprite Ball Bronze Medalist Shama Senior High School

Shama Senior High School (SHASS) has retained the Western Region’s Girls Division Basketball title after topping the division. The games were organized to determine representatives for the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship.

SHASS beat Fijai Senior High School 17-3 to retain the title and clinch the sole qualification to the national competition at stake.

SHASS placed third at the 2019 Sprite Ball and has ambitions of going higher on the national log when next year’s competition rolls out from January 3-4 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

Half Assini surprisingly placed third and earned a lot of respect from competitors in the division considering the school’s novelty in the competition.

Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School placed fourth with Mpohor Senior High School coming in fifth place ahead of Ahantaman Senior High School.

Ahantaman won bronze at the 2018 Sprite Ball Championship but failed to qualify to the 2019 edition; Badu Bonsoe Senior High School ranked seventh.

The Western Region is yet to win a gold medal in either division in the history of Sprite Ball.
