A host of schools will face off in the preliminary stage of the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship for the second year in a row after getting in Group B.

St. Louis Senior High School, Accra Wesley Girls High School, Wesley Girls High School and Shama Senior High School were drawn together recently.

Aside Wesley Girls, the remaining members of the group played each other in the 2019 edition of Ghana’s biggest High School basketball tournament.

St. Louis and Shama progressed from the group to the semifinals with the former leading the group thanks to a 21-9 win over Shama.

Shama got a quick revenge by beating St. Louis 16-14 to clinch the bronze medal; St. Louis was competing in the Sprite Ball Championship for the first time in seven years.

The top two teams progress to the semifinals; with all teams in Group B having extensive history in the tournament. Wesley Girls are record winners in the Girls Division after bagging three titles.
