Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) had a straightforward win over University of Development Studies (UDS) earlier today in the Basketball Women’s Division at the ongoing Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games.

KNUST beat UDS 52-26 at the University of Ghana (UG) after winning all quarters in the contest; KNUST led 25-8 at the end of the third quarter.

KNUST has impressed thus far in the competition and is aiming for a place in the final that has been dominated by UG and University of Cape Coast.

The final game of the day between UG and University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in the Women’s Division had to be postponed due to an electrical problem that affected lighting at the venue.

The game was postponed in the third quarter with 4:51 left to play with UG leading 56-2. UG’s team is headlined by veteran players Carlen Adjei, Anita Bonney and Berlinda Tawiah.

The game will continue at 7:00 AM on Monday, January 13 at UG’s main court.
