Basketballghana.com has caught a quick look at Tema Community Basketball League Trophy for the winning team of the 2019 season.
League Founder Fred Yeboah took a picture with the trophy in hand giving fans a snippet about the title Nungua Coldstore and Spintex Knights are battling for.
Coldstore beat Knights 70-67 in Game One and is a win away from clinching the trophy when Game 2 rolls out on Sunday, February 23 at the Tema Community 4 Court. Game 3 is a possibility once Knights manage a win in Game 2.
Prior to the start of Game One, the medals for the winning team and beaten finalist were unveiled; the league is yet to confirm which team wins the bronze medal following the cancellation of the third place game.
Nungua aims at winning the title for the second year in a row after beating Tema Heat in the 2018 Finals; Coldstore has two league titles to its credit.
League officials played key roles in the successful fund raiser for Coldstore Power Forward Gerald Sappor who has been diagnosed with Leukemia.
