Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is in line to play in Greece’s Super clash between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos later tonight.
The game tips off at 19:00 GMT at Olympiacos’ Peace and Friendship Stadium in the EuroLeague Basketball Championship with both teams coming off losses in the previous round.
Panathinaikos lost 76-98 to Real Madrid while Olympiacos lost narrowly 70-71 to Isreali side Maccabi Tel Aviv in the last round.
Bentil would be looking forward to bounce back from a two point, two rebound performance in 7:25 minutes in the loss to Real Madrid.
The former Boston Celtics 2016 Draft pick had been in fine form prior to the above mentioned performance and drew praise from legendary American Coach Rick Pitino.
However, on the local scene both teams scored wins ahead of tonight’s matchup with Panathinaikos beating Ermis Agias 121-78 and Olympiakos beating Amyntas 81-69 over this past weekend.
Bentil and starting Center Giorgios Papagiannis were rested for the contest; Bentil is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA.
