GSP Basketball League Manager Daniel Addo has lamented about suspending the league over fears of the corona virus spread in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com

The league has been suspended until further notice following a directive by Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo banning all social gatherings including sporting activities.

At the time the directive was handed out, the West African nation had two confirmed cases of Corona infections in the country. The number has risen to 151 as at the time of reporting.

Speaking to Ghana’s biggest basketball portal, Addo touched on the impact of the suspension on stakeholders.

“Our various platforms used to promote the league, players and sponsor are now being used to promote COVID-19 (Corona Virus) preventive measures etc. Some players are also switching their attention from basketball, trying to engage in other business which will earn them some income” he said.
