Accra Basketball League (ABL) Director Alex Kukula has lamented the suspension of the 2020 Season due to the spread of the Corona Virus.
He expressed this in a Question and Answer session recently where he touched on a wide range of topics about basketball in Ghana including those directly linked to the league.
Prior to the suspension of the league due to ban on social gatherings as a measure to prevent the spread of the Virus, the 2020 campaign had witnessed a full round of games cleared.
The set of cleared games included those of defending champions Braves of Customs in the Men’s Division I and Ghana Police Service in the Women’s Division.
“I was looking forward to an exciting league this year unfortunately this-Corona Virus- came up and presently we are all locked up somewhere but I hope things will die down a bit and we will come to our beautiful game” he said.
The ban on social gatherings was recently extended by two weeks and the ABL is one of several basketball competitions including the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Championship that has been affected.
