Basketballghana.com understands celebrated Ghanaian sports firm Rite Sports Limited has plans to stage the Ghana Basketball Awards.
The event is in the works to be organized later this year and would be officially known as the 2019 Ghana Basketball Awards.

According to Rite Sports Twitter page, the event is “a night to celebrate basketball stakeholders for their hard work in 2019”.

Standout players, coaches and administrators in Ghana’s most popular sport among its youth are to be awarded on the special night at a yet to be determined venue on a yet to be determined date.

The Ghana Basketball Awards is organized in partnership with the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA); the last edition of the event took place in 2016 and the 2019 edition should be a welcome return to stakeholders in the sport who deserve to be recognized nationally for their tremendous efforts in promoting basketball in the West African nation.

Matilda Gordon and Suleman Abubakar were named Female and Male MVP’s at the last Awards.
