Ghana Wheelchair Basketball Federation Secretary General Agbesi Wilson has heaped immense praise on the Rebecca Akufo-Addo Foundation.

This came in the wake of the Foundation’s kind gesture of donating assorted items to the Federation earlier this week to aid the fight against COVID 19 in Ghana.

The Foundation was formed by Ghana’s First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo and has made similar donations to fight poverty in the West African country.

Wilson and Federation President Max Varden received bags of rice, hand sanitizers, face masks, cleaning detergents among others from Director of Operations of the Foundation Akosua Newman.

Over 8,000 corona virus infections have been confirmed in Ghana and the disabled in society have been at the mercy of the fallout from the pandemic which led to the Federation’s formal request to the First Lady for assistance.

The request was granted and after receiving the items within 48 hours, Wilson stated:

“To be very honest, I must say here that I am really surprised… within 48 hours the mother of the land has listened to our cry and urgently come to our aid, the love is deep ! It is indeed deep”.
