Spintex Knights Basketball Club has captured the attention of Ghana’s basketball fraternity in the wake of signings the club has made recently.

The team has just signed Small Forward Muhaimin “Astro” Kpelle Guba mere minutes after signing Guard Joel Tham; Tham was named Most Valuable Player in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League.

Basketballghana.com can confirm Guba has officially parted ways with Tema Community 4 Basketball Club; Guba played for the 2017 League Champions in the past campaign.

The spread of the corona virus in Ghana has kept the 2020 season start date up in the air but that has not stopped Knights from making a big splash in the offseason as the wait continues for the league’s commencement.

At the time of writing, Ghana has recorded over 9,000 cases of COVID 19 infection; there is a ban on indulging in non contact sports in Ghana until July 31.

Aside signing Tham and Guba, the team made a coaching change earlier this year by announcing Thomas Amediku as Head Coach to replace Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi.
