Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-Italian Small Forward has officially parted ways with Italian Serie A side Germani Brescia under mutual circumstances.

The new was confirmed a few hours ago with Brescia confirming Abass and his agent made the decision to leave after a two year stint. Prior to his arrival at Brescia, Abass played for Olimpia Milano and won the division’s title.

Abass has been heavily linked with a move to fellow Italian side Virtus Bologna, Alba Berlin in Germany and Khimki in the Russian League.

The club statement read , “Germani Basket announces that the athlete Awudu Abass and his agent have contacted the club…The athlete has expressed a series of reflections and assessments that he has made in the last period of his sports career, connected to professional ambition that a player of his level must legitimately have. Basket Brescia Leonesa did everything she could to convince the player to evelaute the opportunity stay in Brescia. In his final season with Brescia, Abass averaged 14 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists. His father is Ghanaian and Abass played for Italy at the 2019 Basketball World Cup.
