Basketballghana.com can confirm former Tema Basketball League (TBL) and Nungua Coldstore Basketball Club player Kofi Agyei has signed a scholarship offer to play for Ateneo De Manilla University.

Ateneo de Manilla University is one of the Philippines best Universities and has a solid reputation in the South East Asian country’s most popular sport, Basketball.

The news was announced by United Arab Emirates based Sports outfit MPAC Sports where Agyei trained and played in the MPAC Elite Youth League (MEYL) since leaving Ghana.

MPAC stated in the announcement, “We are very proud of Kofi as he has worked very hard for this opportunity”. Agyei spent little over a year at the academy honing his skills and gets the opportunity to play in one of Asia’s most competitive College divisions.

The 6 foot 6 inch athletic Agyei is adept at playing the Small Forward and Power Forward positions; he played for Coldstore for three seasons and won the TBL twice while wowing fans with his eye catching dunks.
