Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-American Basketball Player Adamu Saaka has returned to Smouha Sports Club in the Egyptian League.

He makes his return to the club he competed for in the 2018-2019 season where he joined the Egyptian to compete in the Africa Basketball League which has been rebranded to the Basketball Africa League with the NBA as a major partner.

The 6 foot 6 inch Small Forward averaged in seven games 16 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 30.5 minutes as a starter for Smouha during the team’s semifinal run in the Africa Basketball League.

His best outing in the continental championship was a 26 point, three rebounds and three assist performance against fellow Egyptian side Al Ahly Sporting Club at the Elite 8 stage.

Saaka played for just a season at University of South Florida before ending his college career at Furman University in 2011 and has played in the Netherlands for Zwolle and recently competed in the Saudi Arabian League for Al Fateh.
