Headliner of the StreetBall at the Mall Basketball Tournament ClockWork Brand has congratulated the winner of the fourth edition of the competition.
The tournament was held at the Kumasi City Mall in Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital, Accra this past weekend with eight teams involved in the two day competition.
Asawasi Comets topped the competition thanks to a 41-29 win over Asafo Klicks in the final game; 2019 Champions Ayeduase Snipers failed to defend the title.
ClockWork Brand has been behind the tournament since its inception and at the end of the fourth edition, the household apparel outfit congratulated the winning team on its official Twitter page.
The finalists, like a majority of the teams that competed in this year’s tournament, compete in the Kumasi Basketball League.
The likes of Dichemso Chiefs Basketball Academy made a run at the title alongside Health Ballers; other events including the three point shooting contest was held.
This year’s StreetBall was held little over a month after the ban on contact sports in Ghana due to COVID 19 was lifted.
