Shooting Guard Yakuba Ouattara was in thrilling form as he led France to clinch an 86-74 win over Germany in the 2022 EuroBasket Qualifiers.

The 27 year old Guard who was born in Tepa in Ghana’s Ashanti Region led all players in scoring with 24 points that included a pair of eye catching dunks.

Ouattara who moved from AS Monaco in the French League to Spain’s Coosur Real Betis this offseason, scored nine of 16 two point shot attempts and converted two of six three point shot attempts while adding four free throws.

Aside scoring 24 points, Ouattara registered three rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes off the bench for France who have two wins in two games ahead of its game against Montenegro later this week.

Ouattara joined Betis from AS Monaco this offseason

Ouattara received a late call up to the national team after just recovering from a near month layoff due to injury and came off the bench in the win over Great Britain in the first qualification game.

Mathias Lessort added 17 points for France.
