Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana’s Amida Brimah was not with Indiana Pacers as the team lost its preseason debut game.

Pacers lost 104-107 to Cleveland Cavaliers in the first preseason game for both teams and the two teams are scheduled to face off again on Monday, December 14 as preparations continue to the start of the 2020-2022 NBA season.

Reasons for his absence are yet to be officially communicated; Brimah is one of 20 players on the Pacers preseason roster after signing an Exhibit 10 contract with Indiana for the second straight season.

6 foot 11 inch Brimah, plays the Center position and is renowned for his rim protection and athletic plays rebounding and scoring on offense.

He won the national championship with University of Connecticut and since graduating in 2017, he has played two seasons in the NBA’s Gatorade League and won the league’s title during his time at Austin Spurs.

He was named twice to the G League All Defensive First Team twice.
