African and World Football Legendary Striker Didier Drogba has shown off his basketball skills in a pickup game played in his native Ivory Coast.

The 2012 UEFA Champions League winner got the chance to handle the ball in a pickup game with young players in the West African nation.

Drogba in an eye catching sequence dribbled the ball in between his legs, behind his back and attempted a jump shot which kissed the backboard and into the rim to send fans gathered at the court into ecstasy.

This show of fondness for the sport comes on the brink of Ivory Coast’s final round of 2021 AfroBasket qualification games which commences on Friday, February 19.

The Ivorian team is drawn in Group C alongside Equatorial Guinea, Guinea and Cameroon; the qualifiers are to be played in Yaounde and due to end on February 21.

The top three teams progress to the main competition due to be hosted later in the year in Kigali, Rwanda. Tunisia are the reigning continental champions after bagging the 2017 edition.
