Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Forward Ben Bentil played a solid game for his Greek side Panathinaikos Basketball Club in the EuroLeague against Barcelona on Tuesday, March 2.
Bentil registered 14 points, three rebounds, four assists and a block in 25 minutes as a starter; Bentil scored 13 points in a win over Aris in the Greek League this past weekend.
The Sekondi native was the joint top leader in assists in the game joining Cory Higgins, Adam Hanga and former teammate Nick Calathes in the category.
Bentil scored three of five shots from two point range, two of three shots from three point range and converted a pair of free throws in the contest. The pick of Bentil’s assist was a wraparound pass that led to Konstantinos Mitoglou midway in the fourth quarter.
Former New York Knicks and Orlando Magic Forward Mario Hezonja played in his debut game and registered 21 points and two rebounds.
Former Chicago Bulls Forward Nikola Mirotic led the game with 25 points.
