Ghana Center Nathan Mensah is heading to his final season at San Diego State University and is priming for a big year after a gradual improvement through the years.
San Diego State is surrounding 6 foot 10 inch Mensah with more shooters by signing transfer Guard Matt Bradley and Forward Chad Baker-Mazara to the roster.
The 2021-20222 season is due to commence later this year with San Diego State players expected to commence training in August.
Baker-Mazara transferred from Duquesne University after spending his freshman year averaging 9.5 points per game while Bradley averaged 18 points and 17.5 points per game in his Juniour/ third year and Sophomore/second year at the University of California-Berkeley.
Surrounding Mensah with players who score a lot from the perimeter (Baker-Mazara converted 42% of his three point shot attempts) is sure to give him ample space in the post to improve his scoring average of 8.1 points he registered last season.
This comes on the back of Mensah recovering from blood clots in his lungs that forced him to play just 13 games in his second year.
