Ghana Police Service Women’s Basketball Team Assistant Coach David Sasu has stated his team is no felling any pressure to defend the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division title.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com after seeing his team demolish University of Ghana (UG) 70-29 in its opening game of the 2021 season. (Click highlighted text to watch full interview)

2019 ABL Women’s Division Champs Police

Police won the 2019 Women’s Division by edging then defending champions Braves of Customs in the best of three games Finals Series. However, the 2020 season was cancelled due to the onset of the COVID19 pandemic.

Responding to a question on his feeling pressured to successfully defend its title, the veteran player on Police Men’s team stated:

“There is no pressure on us so we are taking it game by game…we are trying to build our endurance level with every match we play”. He added, “the trophy is coming to Police again”.

Police is in Group A in the division with Ghana AirForce, Ghana Navy, UG and Ghana Fire Service.
