Seiko Photo Courtesy: FIBA gathers San Diego State University’s Men’s Basketball Team Guard Adam Seiko has returned to the program following the conclusion of the 2021 FIBA AfroBasket.

He rejoins the Aztecs ahead of his Senior Season in the upcoming 2021-2022 campaign; Ghanaian and fellow African Nathan Mensah is on San Diego State’s roster.

The just ended African Nations Basketball Championship (AfroBasket) had Tunisia beat Ivory Coast 78-75 to clinch its second title in a row with Senegal finishing in third place.

Seiko played in the competition for Uganda and exited at the quarterfinal stage after losing to Cape Verde. In five games, the 6 foot 3 Guard averaged 13 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists in five games in the competition held at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda.

After averaging 4.2 points, two rebounds and 1.4 assists in his third year, Seiko would be hoping his solid performance at the AfroBasket will translate to the College season.

Like Seiko, Mensah is entering his senior year and is the projected starter at the Center position.
