University of Alabama Men’s Basketball Team Head Coach Nate Oats has praised Ghanaian-Canadian stud Charles Bediako ahead of the start of preseason games.
Oats described Bediako as a “great target” according to Sports Illustrated as the team continues to prepare for the start of the 2021-2022 College Basketball Season.

Bediako was one of the biggest recruits for Alabama after his strong performances at the High School level and representing Canada at the juvenile level in international competitions.
“Charles is a great target… He’s playing well, he’s adapted well. The physicality of the college game hasn’t seemed to bother him too much so far” Oats said.

6 foot 11 inch Bediako picked Alabama ahead of similar athletic scholarship offers from Duke University, Ohio State University and Texas University.
He joins fellow Ghanaian-Canadian players set to play their debut seasons in American College basketball programs including Nana Owusu-Anane of Brown University and Enoch Boakye of Arizona State University.
Bediako is considered an athletic shot blocker and rebounder with room to improve offensively.
