Galaxy (blue) v Ghana Navy

After a frustrating opening playoff series 50-56 loss to TUSK Foundation in the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II Season, Tudu Galaxy flipped the script and hunted down Ghana Navy en route to an impressive win. (Click highlighted text to read match report)

From start to finish, Galaxy gave Navy little time on the ball deploying double team traps and mid court press to deflect passes away from intended targets and record key steals. Galaxy wound up winning 69-52. (Click highlighted text to read match report)

Having a deep roster of young, energetic players helped Coach/ Player Ibrahim Babuso’s aggressive game plan work to perfection and unlike the previous game, Galaxy finished better around the rim on fast break opportunities after generating turnovers.

Guard Divine Quartey was the crown jewel of Galaxy’s game plan as the diminutive player played out a brilliant game at both ends of the court and came up with a big three pointer to end a fine run in the fourth quarter.

Between Rafiq Brimah, Mohammed Brimah, Mubarak Mohammed, Raymond Affram, Ibrahim Lawal and Bismark Addai, Galaxy had a plethora of options to pick from to execute and get the team’s first playoff win.
