Basketballghana.com can confirm the second of a best of three game playoff series to determine the winner of the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division between Ghana Police Service and Reformers of Prisons slated to be played out today has been postponed.

Police (Blue) v Reformers

Game 2 of the series was expected to tip off today at 15:00 GMT at the Prisons Court in Cantonments but has been arranged for a new date following an official announcement by the ABL to address a pertinent issue connected to the venue. (Click highlighted text to read announcement)

Reformers beat defending league champions Police 68-56 in Game One with an improved second half performance from both teams. (Click highlighted text to read announcement)

However, the cancellation of today’s game is likely to affect Reformers who were on a roll and looked primed to ink a second win in a row to clinch the league title.

For Police, the cancelled game could possibly be a lifeline to save the series and possibly stage a comeback to successfully defend its title.

Team Police gets extra days to game plan better and rest its starters who played heavy minutes in Game One; Reformers deep bench was the telling difference in Game One.
