The Administrator will lead a tour of basketball teams in various cities in Ghana including Takoradi, Cape Coast and Kumasi as part of the first set of assessment of the state of basketball in the country.

In what Vainauskas described as a new development, he indicated a national team for the men is in the works. He said:

This came out of discussions yesterday but already in motion as well, the recreation of a national team of Ghana…that national team in full on composition of 16 players will be travelling to Europe for friendly games. We are not sure the level of opponents they are going to be facing but that very much depends on a successful first selection process and the work which is going to be done by the coaches and managers from now until the tour actually begins. This is scheduled for August.”
