Ghana Center Amida Brimah missed out on Filou Oostende’s Basketball Champions League loss Igokea due to Health and Safety Protocols in relation to COVID 19 but returned to action this past weekend to compete in the Belgian League.

Oostende beat Leuven 90-77 to clinch its 14th win of the 2021-2022 Regular Season in the league with Brimah registering seven points, two blocks and six rebounds in 28 minutes on his return to the team.

He started the contest and converted five of six free throws and one of a pair of two point shots in a game led by teammate Levi Randolph’s 34 point outing. Like Brimah, Phil Booth missed the Igokea loss but returned and scored 14 points.

Oostende plays Igokea on Tuesday, January 18 in the FIBA Basketball Champions League needing a win to force a Game 3 in the series. Oostende lost 72-87 to Igokea in Game One.

Brimah played for Indiana Pacers in the NBA before concluding his 2020-2021 season with a stellar run in Puerto Rico with Mets de Guaynabo who made it to the Finals for the first time in 28 years.
