Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) President Ato Van-Ess has stated he is impressed by how things turned out at the just ended UCC Wildcats Invitational Basketball Tournament.
He made the statement in the aftermath of the one day tournament that was played out at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana’s Central Regional capital.
President Van-Ess was present at the Stadium to witness the competition that had host University of Cape Coast (UCC) emerge winners in the Women’s and Men’s Divisions respectively.
Four teams competed in the tournament with Ghana Police Service, University of Education-Winneba (UEW) and Takoradi Technical University (TTU) joining the host institution.
UCC beat TTU 51-35 in the Men’s Division Final while UCC had an easy run out in the Women’s final against TTU via a 45-12 result win.
Speaking after the tournament, the former Western Basketball Association Chairman stated he was impressed by what he saw play out.
The UCC Wildcats Invitational Tournament is a Game Time Sports Management and National Sports Authority project.
