Ghana Center Amida Brimah has missed out on winning his first title with Filou Oostende after the team lost 73-79 to Limburg United in the Belgian Basketball Cup title.

Brimah joined Oostende late in 2021 after playing a starring role in Mets de Guaynabo’s stunning run to the Puerto Rican League Final; Guaynabo lost Capitanes Arecibo.

Amida registered four points, eight rebounds and three blocks in 24:26 minutes of play in a quiet outing for the former Indiana Pacers man.

Aside failing to make shots, Oostende turned the ball over 16 times compared to Limburg’s eight and that proved to be the key in deciding the outcome of the game. Oostende did have a 36-28 advantage in the rebounding category.

Earlier in the league campaign, Filou beat Limburg 82-72 and Brimah had a better outing registering 23 points and adding nine rebounds and a blocked shot to his tally.

Filou takes on Unicaja Malaga in the FIBA Basketball Champions League on March 16 in a must win game.
