Ghana and Olimpia Milano Small Forward/ Power Forward Ben Bentil has turned 27 and the Sekondi native celebrated his special day on Twitter.

The former Providence College player who is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA via a brief stint with Dallas Mavericks, celebrates his birthday with Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo. The West African nation’s leader turned 78 today.

Reacting to the “joint birthday celebration” Bentil tweeted, “Kings and Leaders Were Born on this Day” after earlier posting “Seen Another Year. Thank You Lord for All The Blessings” on his page on Twitter. (Click highlighted text to read tweet)

Later tonight, Bentil’s Italian side Milano takes on Bayern Munich in the 2021-2022 Euroleague Basketball Championship Regular Season; the game tips off at 18:30 GMT.

Milano ranks third in the 15 team standings-three Russian teams have been banned from the competition-and has all but secured a place in the next stage. Bayern ranks seventh.

Bentil played in Milano’s 83-77 win over Turkish side Anadolou Efes in the previous round off the bench; he registered three points and two rebounds in 7:14 minutes.
