Shot from Volta League

Basketballghana.com gathers scheduled games over the past weekend in the 2022 Volta Basketball League have been honoured at allocated venues in the Volta Region.

Three league games were honoured in the league with Akpini Snipers beating Mawuvi Basketball Fellowship 41-32 and Keta Sand City Young Ballers losing 44-49 to Akatsi Rifles. Both games were played on May 15.

On Sunday, May 16 however, Harlem Basketball Club beat Ho Technical University (HTU) 71-60 at the premises of the tertiary institution.

All three games were played out at different venues; Snipers win was at Franco in Hohoe while Rifles win was at the Keta Senior High and Technical School (KETASCO) while HTU’s was in Ho.

 HTU has been competing at the GHATUSA (Ghana Technical Universities Sports Association) Games and Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship in recent years.

The League is taking place under the auspices of the Volta Basketball Association (VOBBA) a referee training program was undertaken prior to the start of the league season.
