Basketballghana.com can confirm Olimpia Milano will compete in the semifinals of the 2022 Italian Serie A Basketball League playoffs against Sassari.
This comes after the conclusion of quarterfinal games in the postseason; Ghana Forward Ben Bentil plays for Milano and Olimpia has been drawn against Sassari in the semifinals.
Milano won three straight games against Reggiana in the best of five games series in the first round while Sassari won its series over Germani Brescia via 3-1 series victory.
The semifinal series commences on Saturday, May 28 with Game 2 scheduled for Monday, May 30; Defending Champion Virtus Bologna plays Tortona in the semis and like the quarterfinals, winners at the semifinals are to be in the best of a five game series.
Bentil led all players in Milano’s series clinching 89-59 win registering 16 points, five rebounds and an assist in 21 minutes. The 6 foot 8 inch player is in his first season with Milano and in Italy. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
