Female Focus Basketball Camp Assistant Coach/ Organizer Edwin Haizel has detailed the reason behind the Group’s inability to organize the female oriented basketball program over the past couple of years.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com, Haizel pointed to the COVID 19 Pandemic as the main reason behind the Camp’s absence on the basketball calendar in recent times after the maiden edition held in early 2020.

This-Female Focus Camp- was founded last two years but because of the pandemic that’s why we break for a while because we started it last two years at Lebanon House” he said. (Click highlighted text to watch full interview)

Day One of the 2022 edition was held at the Prisons Court in Cantonments on May 23 and Day Two is scheduled to take place later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu from 15:00 to 17:30 GMT.

The Camp aims to improve female basketball players skill in and approach to the sport; Shadrack Quaye is the Lead Coach of the Camps.
