Project Coordinator and Head of Basketball at the Grassroot Eric Adorku has commended RITE Sports Limited for coming up with Basketball Honours.
The Award scheme is to recognize the efforts of individuals and organizations in developing basketball in Ghana over the past years.
The Award ceremony takes place on Friday, June 17 at 18;00 GMT at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly [AMA] Headquarters in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com ahead of the big night, Adorku praised the award-winning sports organization stating;
‘Currently we are sponsoring over 80 kids all the way from kindergarten to the university and through RITE Sports these kids have gotten the opportunity to play in Ghana’s biggest high school tournament that is the Sprite Ball [Xpressions]…which is really awesome for our kids. RITE Sports is the organization behind Ghana’s biggest basketball tournament at the tertiary level; UPAC-Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges Basketball Championship.
A handful of heavy weights in the sports fraternity are expected to attend the ceremony in mid June.
