Spintex Knights Basketball Club Co Founder Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi has lamented the enormous challenge of securing funds to participate in the 2022 Tournoi International Basketball Tournament but is hoping Knights can make Ghana proud at the competition.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com ahead of the team’s trip to Ivory Coast to compete in the eight team tournament.

“Biggest challenge has been for the team to self fund this trip. We are hoping to be able to play very good basketball to make our nation proud and whatever comes out of it, we gladly take it” he said.

Knights will represent Ghana in the tournament that runs from July 18 to July 24 at the Palais des sports Treichville in Abidjan. The likes of Kwara Falcons from Nigeria and ASPAC from Benin are scheduled to compete.
