ST PETERS frameSt Peters Senior High School claim they will be no pushovers when the Eastern regional Sprite Ball competition takes place in Koforidua on October 17.

The Nkawkaw based side placed third in last year’s edition at the same venue after they lost the semi-final battle against Suhum Secondary Technical School.

With the days springing fast for the most high-status and famous basketball tournament among senior high students, preparations among the various schools have reached an epoch stage with teams in the Eastern hemisphere getting set for the immense showdown at the premises of Koforidua Secondary Technical School.

Only three teams from both the male and female category respectively will gain automatic berth in the finals of the competition in Accra on December 19th and 20th.

Suhum Secondary Technical School (Sutesco), Pope John’s Senior High (Pojoss) and St Peter’s Senior High represented the Eastern region for last year’s final in Accra and they are keen to maintain the status quo.

  1. Last year the best Sprite Ball player was chosen from ST. Peters. I hope the boys who have stepped into our shoes will do geater things than we did. I’m expecting this year’s Sprite Ball to be bigger, fonkier and more like the Community Dunks semi final match where we saw ladies doing rap and dance battles.
