SUTESCO FRAMEThe Eastern Regional Physical Education coordinator,Kofi Sarpong Boateng,  has predicted massive improvements in the 2009 Sprite Basketball Championship which takes place on the campus of Koforidua Secondary Technical School at Koforidua on Saturday October 17.

Mr Sarpong says the enthusiasm that has been shown by schools in the region will come in handy on Saturday.

This year’s edition of the Sprite basketball regional championship hit the Eastern regional capital first on Saturday before the train proceeds to the remaining five regions.

Preparation on the venue has been completed and all is set for the big showdown in two days time.

Over twenty schools have confirmed their participation in the competition and Mr Sarpong expects a tougher challenge this time around.

‘Last year was superb but from what I saw I think this year was be amazing.’ Sarpong told basketballghana

‘The enthusiasm that has been shown by the various schools is mind blowing and that bears ample testimony that this year’s competition will be great’.

‘I am confident of a successful tournament and I think the school that works extra hard will carry the day.’

‘It will be difficult for me to predict which school will win because all the teams I believe have prepared well and so the best among them should win.’
