Officials have confirmed the ongoing Greater Accra basketball league goes on a two-week break to pave way for this weekend’s Ghana Universities Basketball Association (GUSA) games.

Six Universities will fight for honours at the prestigious tournament at the main basketball court of the country’s premier University on Saturday June 4th – 10th.

Attention will be shifted to the venue and the organizers of the league want full concentration at the place.

Moreover the same referees who officiate matches in the league are billed to carry out official duties at the competition, hence the need to put the league on break.

The ongoing league has produced some breathtaking and amazing results and last week’s showdown between 9-time champions Hoops and CEPS capped an incredible run in the league.
