Ghanaian side Hoops lost grounds in two separate international friendlies against the Togolese national team last weekend in Lome.

The well-determined Cape Coast based saw their ambition curtailed at the end of the first game where they lost to a much experienced Togolese side 75-40 in front of a sparse crowd.

The second game on the day was also a baptism of fire for the young lads from Ghana who couldn’t hold their own against their counterpart in a thrilling 64-33 defeat.

The Togolese had in their fold players who are based in the US, France and Holland and they showed their quality with some physical game at the venue.

‘For us the result doesn’t matter but we’re happy with our developmental agenda and we continue to play such high profile matches to sharpen us for future tournament’. team manager Hoops Claudius Thompson told basktballghana.

‘They were more experienced than us and it evident the international exposure some of their players had came in handy for them’.
