The basketball court of the University of Ghana will be the centre of attraction when the 2010 edition of Community Dunks are rolled out.

Ghana’s premier University has won the right to host the most prestigious U-18 basketball tournament amongst eight (8) communities in the Greater Accra region beginning Saturday September 11-October 3, 2010.

The competition which was previously held at the El-Wak stadium has now been shifted to Legon as the various teams get ready to battle each other in a one month-long championship.

The Aviation Social centre was also in the frame to host the competition but Legon’s track record of hosting top notch tournaments in the past swayed in their favour.

‘A lot of factors went into the decision to choose the University of Ghana as the venue for the second edition of the tournament and we believe it’s a good choice’. Business Development Officer of Rite Multimedia, Albert Mensah Blankson told basketballghana.com

‘The second edition is going to be an improvement over last year’s and so I encourage every tom dick and harry to be at the venue every Saturday from 3-8pm to witness another masterpiece organization from Rite Multimedia’ he concluded.
