The eagerly –awaited grand finale of the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) basketball championship is taking shape following the conclusion of the draw for the one-day championship on Saturday April 16.

Zone I Champions, the University of Education (UEW) have been drawn in the ‘group of death’ that includes Accra Polytechnic and Sunyani Polytechnic in pool A.

The highly anticipated showdown between two of the country’s finest sides at the tertiary basketball is a must watch for followers of the game as the competition finally come home grounding this weekend.

Bridesmaid in the Greater Accra conference, the University of Ghana must improve after been drawn in pool B against Takoradi Polytechnic and zone C champions Kumasi Polytechnic.

The top two sides from each group will advance to the semi-final stage before deciding which side will advance to the finals and place the dice on the champion.

There is massive pressure on the technical handlers of the various teams to win the ultimate title for bragging efficacy and pride.
