Ashaiman remain the overwhelming favourite going into Saturday’s final batch of the quarter-final stage in the 2011 Community Dunks.

Coach Raphael Ahadzi’s young breeze demonstrated glimpses of their potential this term when they dispatched off Tema and Maamobi-Nima in the knock out phase some two weeks ago.

They come up against a resolute Ridge side and champions Kaneshie at the Prisons court on September 24 with huge expectations on their shoulders.

Ridge looked awesome during the group phase and won all their games to triumph in their zone which comprised of maiden winners Cantonment and Burma camp.

Experienced coach Braimah Lawah left the baton for young and enterprising Francis Wilson and watched from the bench motionless as the Magic coach oversaw a side that dominated their zone and reign supreme.

The chips have fallen in place and the battle lines have been drawn as the trio comes up against each other in what is expected to be a taciturn affair coupled with amazing sublime of basketball skills on the court.

You may end be the best judge but with Dansoman looking good this year and Maamobi-Nima negotiating their tie semi-final berth, two of the three communities will be waiting in earnest for a semi-final showdown next week at the Aviation Social Centre.
