The hugely anticipated Greater Accra Basketball League will jump-start on April 24, organizers have confirmed.
The start of the only recognized and competitive regional league has been delayed on two occasions on many grounds.
It was initially billed to start early March but were forced to shift it forward over some unforeseen contingencies.
After several back and forth, organizers have now finally confirmed the 2014 season will start on April 24.
“I can confirm to you that the League will start on April 24, General Secretary of the Greater Accra Basketball Association, Prosper Agbleta told BASKETBALLghana.com
“We had to sort out some few issues which delayed the start of the competition.
“We had to take the input of other stakeholders on board before deciding on the final date.
“Now we’re clear in our minds and will start the League on the date given.”
CEPS will be going for an incredible 15th straight League title when it starts at the Lebanon and Prisons’ court respectively.
