Three-time champions Mfantsipim have bee handed a tricky tie with a repeat of the 2010 finals against Prempeh College. There are also Western regional neighbours St Johns as well as debutant Sokagope Senior High.

GROUP D: ( MFANTSIPIM/ST JOHNS/PREMPEH/SOGAKOPE)

Favourites to Break: Mfantsipim School and Prempeh College

In a group with the most decorated team in the nation, all other teams can only hope to play catch-up.

Mfantsipim, the three times national champions and Central Region powerhouse will be hoping to start a bid to repeat once again.

Last year was the first time they did not make an appearance in the finals of the national tournament in the past four years.

Botwe however, will be playing without key players Morgan and David AKufu (2013 MVP). The 3 times champions will also be facing off against Prempeh, the most dominant team in the Ashanti region.

This will be an opportunity for Prempeh College to exact revenge for their 2010 loss to Botwe in the finals.

Debutants Sogakope have a tall order to qualify from this group considering the competition they will be facing.

The last team in the group is St Johns who have been regular participants in the tournament since 2010 and have had decent performances, occasionally making it to the Quarters.

This is arguably ‘the group of death’ in the competition.
